This vintage victorian 'coat hanger' was made by the Belmar Co, Washington D.C. with a patent date 1897
Advertised as 'The Belmar Suit and Skirt Holder' it is made of wood with metal shoulder type clamps which unclip and open allowing the clothing item to be pressed and held by the two wooden pieces.
It is still functional without nicks or rusting.
The paper advertising is still intact explaining the function and how to use. It is wrinkled and rubbed but still readable. For its age and use its in good vintage condition.
A great victorian item!!
