This vintage hand-painted ceramic teapot from the Shawnee Pottery Co features "Tom" who in his left hand holds an ear of corn and in his right is carrying a pig which also serves as the spout of the pot.
A Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme is the inspiration for this teapot-
Tom Tom the piper's son
Stole a pig and away he ran.
The pig was eat and Tom was beat
And Tom went roaring down the street.
The Teapot dates back to 1937 to 1942
It measures approximately 8" wide by 7-1/4" tall by 4-1/2" deep.
This teapot is in excellent vintage condition with No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
